In summer mountain biking, whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, camping, fishing, hunting and hiking are all within easy reach of Fairbanks, or let the experts guide you and enjoy a trip by boat, plane, raft, on horseback, or by hot air balloon. 

Winter, of course, is what Alaska is famous for, and opportunities abound for skiing, snowmobiling, and dog mushing.  Snow season is celebrated with winter festivals, entertainment, and ice sculptures.  Natural hot springs can be enjoyed year round.  Then there are the world-famous Northern Lights, and no trip to Fairbanks would be complete without staying long enough to enjoy the Aurora in its full splendor.
